The Castle

"Château de la Voûte" is a genuine Castle built in the Louis the XIVth period.

Located in heart of Touraine vineyard, it is close to the most famous castles of the Loire Valley including Chenonceau, Chambord, Cheverny, Chaumont, Blois, Amboise, Valencay...
 
Built from an ancient roman house, construction started at the beginning of the Sixteenth Century and was not completed until 1728.

The owners have created three beautifully decorated Guest Rooms on the second floor of the main building.

They have also created a wonderful antique furniture and gift boutique in one of the separate houses adjacent to the Chateau proper.
 

The village


Pouille is a small charming village dedicated to wine production.

Approximately 800 villagers live in this small, quiet community in heart of Touraine where you, too, can enjoy a lovely church (XI and XIIth Century), the castle, an ancient fountain or ancient mill along side a small lake.

Not much has changed in Pouille since the beginning of the 19th Century : the local authenticity of life has been preserved, and you can have a paceful stay, far away from the City...
